ABOUT PETER

Peter has been running training courses and workshops for more than thirty years.  He has trained at a wide range of consumer, specialist and B2B publications and has won outstanding testimonials from publishers, editors and journalists.  He has also run courses and workshops at a range of companies and regulatory bodies, using the same principles to sharpen their internal and external communications.  In his teaching, Peter draws on his lengthy career as one of Britain’s most experienced and respected journalists. He spent fifteen years on the staff of the Sunday Times, five of those on the renowned Insight investigative team during Harry Evans’ editorship, the era when the newspaper’s reputation for strong, independent journalism reached new heights.  He covered beats from war-zones and the Middle East to tough investigative issues on the home front.

Since 1983 Peter has been writing as a freelance and his work has appeared in all the main British broadsheet newspapers and numerous  other newspapers and magazines. He has written widely elsewhere and is the author or co-author of a dozen books. He has also written scripts for television.  He has run his training courses in tandem with his writing and journalism, so that trainees benefit from being taught by an active professional. He take pleasure in sharing the techniques and strategies he used during his own career, and in adapting them to the requirements of the new media age.
